BetterMultiThreadedCommands & permissions

Commands & permissions

Every BetterMultiThreaded command, what it does and the permission it needs.

Start with /tps. It shows what every region is doing and has a button for the most common action.

Every admin command lives under /bmt, the short form of /bettermultithreaded. Both names take the same sub commands, and /bmt on its own opens the help menu.

Everyday commands

/bmt foliafix <world> <x> <z> <pieces>Same, but aim for that many shards.
/bmt foliafix <world> <x> <z> offUndo: disable the zone that covers the region and clear a live override.

/bmt shard

The full sharding tree. With no arguments a player gets the menu and the console gets the status.

/bmt shard menuOpen the menu.
/bmt shard on [world|zone] [size]Shard a whole world (default: the world you stand in), or enable a zone by name.
/bmt shard off [world|zone]Back to Folia for that world, or disable that zone.
/bmt shard scanCheck the region you stand in and convert it to a permanent zone if it is lagging.

/bmt shard statusEvery sharded region on the server.
/bmt shard force <on|off|auto> [size]Override the mode of one region.
/bmt shard reloadReload the zone and world file.

Hopper mode

CommandWhat it does
/hoppervanillaThe hopper you are looking at goes back to vanilla behaviour: one item per transfer, checked every tick.
/hopperperformanceThe hopper you are looking at uses the hopper-amount and hopper-check values from spigot.yml again.

Both only work for players, and only on the one hopper in view. The mode is stored on the hopper and survives restarts.

Permissions

PermissionCovers
bettermultithreaded.command.folia/bmt folia
bettermultithreaded.command.foliaworld/bmt foliaworld
bettermultithreaded.command.foliawand/bmt foliawand
bettermultithreaded.command.foliafix/bmt foliafix and the split button in /tps
bettermultithreaded.command.shard/bmt shard
bettermultithreaded.command.reload/bmt reload
bettermultithreaded.command.help/bmt and /bmt help

Operators have all of them. Anyone with one of the sub command permissions can open /bmt too, and the help menu only lists the commands they may use. /hoppervanilla and /hopperperformance need no permission: any player may switch a hopper they are looking at.

Reloading

/bmt reload re-reads config/canvas-server.yml without a restart. That is how the kill switch works: set sharded-regions.enabled: false, then reload. Some options are only read at startup; the comment above each option in the file says so.
